Emergency Dental FAQs
What counts as a dental emergency?
Common dental emergencies include severe toothache, a knocked-out or broken tooth, a lost filling or crown, swelling, or bleeding that will not stop. If you are unsure, contact us and we can advise. Contact our team.
How quickly can I be seen?
We keep time available for urgent problems and will do our best to see you as soon as possible. Please call us early in the day so we can find the earliest suitable appointment for you.
What should I do for a knocked-out tooth?
Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it, and if possible place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Contact us straight away – acting quickly gives the best chance of saving the tooth.
How can I manage pain before my appointment?
Over-the-counter pain relief used as directed, and a cold compress on the outside of the cheek, may help. We will provide tailored advice when you contact us.
Do you treat children’s dental emergencies?
Yes, we care for patients of all ages, including children. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can arrange to see your child quickly.
For urgent problems, please call our Glenmore Park team during opening hours.
