Teeth Whitening
Few people have beaming white teeth. As we age, our teeth can become discoloured.

Teeth whiteners work well because they contain bleaching chemicals. When applied to your teeth, the chemicals get into the tooth enamel, breaking apart the staining compounds.
Our teeth whitening procedures

In-office laser treatment
This is the most popular option, as it involves only one session in the dental chair for immediate results.
Our dentist will paint a bleaching solution on your teeth and then shine a light or laser on them to activate. The procedure takes about an hour and is perfectly safe.

Teeth Whitening FAQs
Is professional teeth whitening safe?
Whitening provided by a dentist is generally well tolerated. We assess your teeth and gums beforehand to check it is suitable for you and to reduce the risk of sensitivity.
How long do the results last?
Results vary from person to person and depend on your diet and habits, such as coffee, tea, red wine and smoking. Many people choose occasional top-ups to maintain their results.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some people experience temporary sensitivity, which usually settles after treatment. We can suggest ways to manage this and tailor the treatment to your comfort.
In-chair or take-home – which is better?
Both can be effective. In-chair whitening is done in a single visit, while take-home kits let you whiten gradually. We will help you choose the option that suits you. Explore our cosmetic dentistry options.
Why not use a DIY whitening kit?
Over-the-counter and DIY kits can cause gum irritation or uneven results if used incorrectly. A dentist-supervised approach is assessed for your individual needs. Contact our team to discuss.
